Groups (12 to 48 visitors)
Admission to Science Gateway is free, but registration is required.
- For groups (12 to 48 visitors), online registration is mandatory, up to 9 months in advance.
- Due to high demand, early booking is strongly recommended.
- Groups (12 to 48 visitors) can visit Science Gateway from Tuesday to Saturday. Sundays are reserved for families and individual visitors (1 to 11 visitors).
- Only exhibitions, guided tours, and lab workshops can be booked in advance. Additional activities and events, such as science shows and film screenings, may be offered daily. Please check our programme for details.
- Visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- CERN visits are always free of charge, and participants should be informed on this.

Booking procedure for groups
If you are organizing a visit for a school or university group, please submit your request using the official email address of the school or university (requests from tour operators will be refused).
- Access the booking form via the button below.
- Indicate your group's profile: type of group, number of visitors, language, country, etc. Please note that English is the only guaranteed language. If no guides are available in the chosen language, we may need to switch to English at the last minute.
- Choose the activities you are interested in (check the conditions in the table above). The more activities you select, the less likely you are to find availability for all of them.
- Choose an available date. If no dates are available, try again a few days later.
- Provide your group's contact information and submit your request. For schools and universities, the email address must be official.
- You will receive a response to your request within five business days.
- In the case of a guided tour, you will need to provide the identity of all visitors at the latest 21 days before your visit
- You will have to confirm your visit no later than 21 days in advance, otherwise the visit may be cancelled.
