The first full year of operation of the CERN Science Gateway has been a real success!

In 2024, we welcomed almost 390,000 visitors from over 171 countries. After only 15 months of operation, CERN Science Gateway is now one of the top 10 most visited tourist attractions in Switzerland.

In addition to our three permanent exhibitions, films about CERN and a temporary exhibition (open until March 2, 2025), in 2024 we offered: 1260 lab workshops, 431 science shows, 6791 guided tours with the help of our 1363 volunteer guides. Our guided tours and lab workshops were offered in 25 different languages. In addition, 18 public events attracted thousands of participants. 

We look forward to welcoming even more visitors in 2025, with new activities currently under development.
