10–19 June: traffic disruptions in the area
The G7 Summit will take place in Évian-les-Bains from 15 to 17 June 2026. The organization of this event may affect mobility but also other services in the Geneva region, in particular:
- Increased checks at the Franco-Swiss border from 10 to 19 June
- Closure of 28 border crossing points between the Canton of Geneva and France from 12 to 18 June
- The Science Gateway at CERN will remain open as usual, unless otherwise decided by the authorities.
- Guided tours will take place primarily on Swiss territory.
Visitors planning to visit CERN during this period are kindly requested to make the necessary arrangements for their travel and to carry valid travel documents for crossing the border (identity card or passport).
Groups that have booked a visit may contact the CERN Visits Service by replying to the emails received after their reservation. Please note that late arrival may affect the visit programme.
