Only groups (12 persons and more) with an official visit booking and restaurant confirmation are guaranteed access to Big Bang Café

This page is for groups which have booked their visit AND received a mail from CERN visits service that their lunch will take place at Big Bang Café.

If your group has not booked its visit, then the same conditions than for individual visitors and families apply. Please note that, as announced on other pages, we cannot guarantee access to large groups without any booking therefore no bookings can be made for the Big Bang Café.

If your group has booked its visits but did not received a confirmation from CERN Visits Service that the group will have lunch at Big Bang Café, either you have not booked lunch and the same conditions than for individual visitors and families apply or your group will go to another CERN Restaurant. In either case, you can contact Visits Service for more information.

Always check your exact lunch time when arriving at Science Gateway

At CERN we love collisions, but we'd rather avoid them with groups in the Big Bang Café. As soon as your arrive at CERN Science Gateway, consult our staff at the Visitors Reception. The exact time of your lunch will be communicated to you. Please respect this time to join the Big Bang Café with your group.

Option 1 - Order lunch on site on the day of your visit

• You have nothing to do right now.
• You will order and pay on site on the day of your visit.
• All guests can choose a different menu.
• You will have the same offer than for families and invidual visitors proposed on the day of your visit.

Note that some waiting time may occur depending on the number of individual visitors.

Option 2 - Pre-order lunch (no later than 7 days before your visit)

• You order now and decide to pay in advance or on the day of your visit.
• Check the current menu offers for groups here.
• The main course and dessert must be a single choice for all guests (with the exception of allergies or dietary restrictions)
• Menus and rates are available for reservations between 10 and 50 visitors. For larger groups please contact us at big-bang-cafe@cern.ch.
• Reservations  must be placed at least 7 working days before the lunch.
• The number of persons to be invoiced must be confirmed by e-mail at least 7 days before the lunch
